Versus
Jube, Domne, benedícere.
Noctem quiétam et finem perféctum
concédat nobis Dóminus omnípotens.
Amen.
Fratres, sóbrii estóte et vigiláte;
quia advérsarius vester diábolus
tamquam leo rúgiens, círcuit, quærens quem dévoret:
cui resistite fortes in fide.
Tu autem, Dómine, miserére nobis.
Deo grátias.
Adjutórium nostrum in nómine Dómini.
Qui fecit cælum et terram.
Confíteor Deo omnipoténti,
beátæ Maríæ semper Vírgini,
beáto Michaéli Archángelo, beáto Joánni Baptístæ,
sanctis Apóstolis Petro et Paulo,
beáto Patri nostro Benedícto et ómnibus Sanctis,
quia peccávi nimis cogitatióne, verbo et ópere:
mea culpa, mea culpa, mea máxima culpa.
Amen.
Indulgéntiam, absolutiónem et remissiónem peccatórum nostrórum
tríbuat nobis omnípotens et miséricors Dóminus. Amen.
Convérte nos Deus salutáris noster.
Et avérte iram tuam a nobis.
Deus in adjutórium meum inténde.
Dómine ad adjuvándum me festína.
Glória Patri, et Fílio et Spirítui Sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper,
et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.
Allelúia.
Grant, Lord, a blessing.
May almighty God grant us a quiet night and a perfect end.
concédat nobis Dóminus omnípotens.
Amen.
Brothers: Be sober and watch: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, goeth about seeking whom he may devour.
quia advérsarius vester diábolus
tamquam leo rúgiens, círcuit, quærens quem dévoret:
Whom resist ye, strong in faith: But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us.
Tu autem, Dómine, miserére nobis.
Thanks be to God.
Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.
Qui fecit cælum et terram.
I confess to almighty God, to blessed Mary ever Virgin,
beátæ Maríæ semper Vírgini,
to blessed Michael the Archangel, to blessed John the Baptist,
to the holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and to all the Saints,
beáto Patri nostro Benedícto et ómnibus Sanctis,
that I have sinned exceedingly in thought, word and deed:
through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault.
Therefore I beseech blessed Mary ever Virgin, blessed Michael the Archangel, blessed John the Baptist,
beátum Michaélem Archángelum, beátum Joánnem Baptístam,
the holy Apostles Peter and Paul,
and all the Saints, and you, Father,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.
May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life. Amen.
May the almighty and merciful Lord grant us pardon,
absolution and remission of our sins. Amen.
Turn us then, O God, our saviour:
And let thy anger cease from us.
O God, come to my assistance;
O Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.
Alleluia.
