Damásci, præpósitus gentis Arétæ regis
In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king
vóluit me comprehéndere :
was desirous to apprehend me;
a frátribus per murum submíssus sum in sporta:
by the brethren in a basket was I let down by the wall,
et sic evási manus ejus in nómine Dómini.
and so escaped I his hands, in the name of the Lord.
