Antiphona
Ecce Dóminus noster cum virtúte véniet,
Behold our Lord will come with power,
ut illúminet óculos servórum suórum, allelúia.
and will enlighten the eyes of his servants, alleluia.
(Ps. 148) Laudáte Dóminum de cælis:
(Ps. 148) Praise the Lord from the heavens.
laudáte eum in excélsis.
Praise him on the heights.
2. Laudáte eum, omnes Angeli ejus:
2. Praise him, all his Angels.
laudáte eum, omnes virtútes ejus.
Praise him, all his hosts.
3. Laudáte eum, sol et luna:
3. Praise him, sun and moon.
laudáte eum, omnes stellæ et lumen.
Praise him, all stars and light.
4. Laudáte eum, cæli cælórum:
4. Praise him, heavens of the heavens.
et aquæ omnes, quæ super cælos sunt, laudent nomen Dómini.
And let all the waters that are above the heavens praise the name of the Lord.
5. Quia ipse dixit, et facta sunt:
5. For he spoke, and they became.
ipse mandávit, et creáta sunt.
He commanded, and they were created.
6. Státuit ea in ætérnum, et in sǽculum sǽculi:
6. He has stationed them in eternity, and for age after age.
præcéptum pósuit, et non præteríbit.
He has established a precept, and it will not pass away.
7. Laudáte Dóminum de terra,
7. Praise the Lord from the earth:
dracónes, et omnes abýssi.
you dragons and all deep places,
8. Ignis, grando, nix, glácies, spíritus procellárum:
8. Fire, hail, snow, ice, windstorms,
quæ fáciunt verbum ejus:
which do his word,
9. Montes, et omnes colles:
9. Mountains and all hills,
ligna fructífera, et omnes cedri.
fruitful trees and all cedars,
10. Béstiæ, et univérsa pécora:
10. Wild beasts and all cattle,
serpéntes, et vólucres pennátæ:
serpents and feathered flying things,
11. Reges terræ, et omnes pópuli:
11. Kings of the earth and all peoples,
príncipes, et omnes júdices terræ.
leaders and all judges of the earth,
12. Júvenes, et vírgines,
12. Young men and virgins.
senes cum junióribus laudent nomen Dómini:
Let the older men with the younger men, praise the name of the Lord.
quia exaltatum est nomen ejus solius
For his name alone is exalted.
13. Conféssio ejus super cælum et terram:
13. Confession of him is beyond heaven and earth,
et exaltávit cornu pópuli sui
and he has exalted the horn of his people.
14. Hymnus omnibus sanctis eius
14. A hymn to all his holy ones,
fíliis Israël, pópulo appropinquánti sibi.
to the sons of Israel, to a people close to him.
(Ps. 149) Cantáte Dómino cánticum novum:
(Ps. 149) Sing to the Lord a new song.
laus ejus in ecclésia sanctórum.
His praise is in the Church of the saints.
16. Lætétur Israël in eo, qui fecit eum:
16. Let Israel rejoice in him who made them,
et fílii Sion exsúltent in rege suo.
and let the sons of Zion exult in their king.
17. Laudent nomen ejus in choro:
17. Let them praise his name in chorus.
in týmpano, et psaltério psallant ei.
Let them sing psalms to him with the timbrel and the psaltery.
18. Quia beneplácitum est Dómino in pópulo suo:
18. For the Lord is well pleased with his people,
et exaltábit mansuétos in salútem.
and he will exalt the meek unto salvation.
19. Exsultábunt sancti in glória:
19. The saints will exult in glory.
lætabúntur in cubílibus suis.
They will rejoice upon their couches.
20. Exaltatiónes Dei in gútture eórum:
20. The exultations of God will be in their throat,
et gládii ancípites in mánibus eórum.
and two-edged swords will be in their hands:
21. Ad faciéndam vindíctam in natiónibus:
21. To obtain vindication among the nations,
increpatiónes in pópulis.
chastisements among the peoples,
22. Ad alligándos reges eórum in compédibus:
22. To bind their kings with shackles
et nóbiles eórum in mánicis férreis.
and their nobles with manacles of iron,
23. Ut fáciant in eis judícium conscríptum:
23. To obtain judgment over them, as it has been written.
glória hæc est ómnibus sanctis ejus.
This is glory for all his saints.
(Ps. 150) Laudáte Dóminum in sanctis ejus:
(Ps. 150) Praise the Lord in his holy places.
laudáte eum in firmaménto virtútis ejus.
Praise him in the firmament of his power.

2. Praise him for his virtues.
laudáte eum secúndum multitúdinem magnitúdinis ejus.
Praise him according to the multitude of his greatness.
26. Laudáte eum in sono tubæ:
3. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet.
laudáte eum in psaltério, et cíthara.
Praise him with psaltery and stringed instrument.
27. Laudáte eum in týmpano, et choro:
4. Praise him with timbrel and choir.
laudáte eum in chordis, et órgano.
Praise him with strings and organ.
28. Laudáte eum in cýmbalis benesonántibus:
5. Praise him with sweet-sounding cymbals.
laudáte eum in cýmbalis jubilatiónis:
Praise him with cymbals of jubilation.
omnis spíritus laudet Dóminum.
Let every spirit praise the Lord.
29. Glória Patri, et Fílio,
29. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
et Spirítui Sancto.
and to the Holy Spirit.
30. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper,
30. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.
