Lectio
Egrediétur virga de stirpe Jesse, et flos de radíce ejus ascéndet;
There shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a flower shall grow out of his roots.
et requiéscet super eum spíritus Dómini:
And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him:
spíritus sapiéntiæ et intelléctus,
the spirit of wisdom and understanding,
spíritus consílii et fortitúdinis,
the spirit of counsel and might,
spíritus sciéntiæ et timóris Dómini; et delíciæ ejus in timóre Dómini.
the spirit of knowledge and of godliness, and He shall be filled with the spirit of the fear of the Lord.
