Lectio
Nudus egréssus sum de útero matris meæ
Naked I departed from my mother’s womb,
et nudus revértar illuc.
and naked I shall return.
Dóminus dedit, Dóminus ábstulit;
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away.
sicut Dómino plácuit, ita factum est:
Just as it pleased the Lord, so has it been done.
sit nomen Dómini benedíctum.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.
Si bona suscépimus de manu Dei,
If we accepted good things from the hand of God,
mala quare non suscipiámus?
why should we not accept bad things?
