Antiphona
Pópulus meus, ait Dóminus,
My people, said the Lord,
bonis meis adimplébitur.
shall be filled with good things.
(Ier. 31, 10-18) Audíte verbum Dómini, gentes,
(Jer. 31, 10-18) Listen to the word of the Lord, O Gentiles,
et annuntiáte in ínsulis, quæ procul sunt, et dícite:
and announce it amid the islands that are far away, and say:
2. Qui dispérsit Israël, congregábit eum:
2. Whoever has scattered Israel will gather him,
et custódiet eum sicut pastor gregem suum.
and he will guard him as a shepherd guards his flock.
3. Redémit enim Dóminus Jacob,
3. For the Lord has redeemed Jacob,
et liberávit eum de manu potentióris.
and he has freed him from the hand of one more powerful.
4. Et vénient, et laudábunt in monte Sion:
4. And they will arrive and give praise on Mount Zion.
et cónfluent ad bona Dómini,
And they will flow together, to the good things of the Lord.
5. Super fruménto, et vino, et óleo,
5. Over grain, and wine, and oil,
et fœtu pécorum et armentórum:
and the offspring of cattle and herds.
6. Erítque ánima eórum quasi hortus irríguus,
6. And their soul will be like an irrigated garden,
et ultra non esúrient.
and they will no longer be hungry.
7. Tunc lætábitur virgo in choro,
7. Then the virgin will rejoice with singing,
júvenes et senes simul:
the young and the old together.
8. Et convértam luctum eórum in gáudium,
8. And I will turn their mourning into gladness,
et consolábor eos, et lætificábo a dolóre suo.
and I will console them and gladden them after their sorrow.
9. Et inebriábo ánimam sacerdótum pinguédine:
9. And I will inebriate the soul of the priests with fatness,
et pópulus meus bonis meis adimplébitur.
and my people will be filled with my good things, says the Lord.
10. Glória Patri, et Fílio,
10. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
et Spirítui Sancto.
and to the Holy Spirit,
11. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper,
11. As it was in the beginning, is now,
et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.
and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Pópulus meus, ait Dóminus,
My people, said the Lord,
bonis meis adimplébitur.
shall be filled with good things.
