Deus nos salvos fecit et vocávit vocatióne sancta,
God has saved us and has called us to his holy vocation,
non secúndum ópera nostra
not according to our works,
sed secúndum propósitum suum et grátiam quæ data est nobis in Christo Jesu
but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus,
