Allelúia, allelúia, allelúia.
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
(Ps. 118, 1-24) Beati inmaculati in via
(Ps. 118, 1-24) Blessed are the immaculate in the way,
qui ambulant in lege Domini
who walk in the law of the Lord.
2. Beáti, qui scrutántur testimónia ejus:
2. Blessed are those who examine his testimonies.
in toto corde exquírunt eum.
They seek him with their whole heart.
3. Non enim qui operántur iniquitátem,
3. For those who work iniquity
in viis ejus ambulavérunt.
have not walked in his ways.
4. Tu mandásti
4. You have ordered
mandáta tua custodíri nimis.
your commandments to be kept most diligently.
5. Utinam dirigántur viæ meæ,
5. I wish that my ways
ad custodiéndas justificatiónes tuas!
may be directed so as to keep your justifications.
6. Tunc non confúndar,
6. Then I will not be confounded,
cum perspéxero in ómnibus mandátis tuis.
when I will look into all your commandments.
7. Confitébor tibi in directióne cordis:
7. I will confess to you with honesty of heart.
in eo quod dídici judícia justítiæ tuæ.
In this way, I have learned the judgments of your justice.
8. Justificatiónes tuas custódiam:
8. I will keep your justifications.
non me derelínquas usquequáque.
Do not utterly abandon me.
9. Glória Patri, et Fílio,
9. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
et Spirítui Sancto.
and to the Holy Spirit,
10. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper,
10. As it was in the beginning, is now,
et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.
and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
11. In quo córrigit adolescéntior viam suam?
11. By what does an adolescent correct his way?
in custodiéndo sermónes tuos.
By keeping to your words.
12. In toto corde meo exquisívi te:
12. With my whole heart, I have sought you.
ne repéllas me a mandátis tuis.
Do not let me be driven away from your commandments.
13. In corde meo abscóndi elóquia tua:
13. I have hidden your eloquence in my heart,
ut non peccem tibi.
so that I may not sin against you.
14. Benedíctus es, Dómine:
14. Blessed are you, O Lord.
doce me justificatiónes tuas.
Teach me your justifications.
15. In lábiis meis,
15. With my lips,
pronuntiávi ómnia judícia oris tui.
I have pronounced all the judgments of your mouth.
16. In via testimoniórum tuórum delectátus sum,
16. I have been delighted in the way of your testimonies,
sicut in ómnibus divítiis.
as if in all riches.
17. In mandátis tuis exercébor:
17. I will be trained in your commandments,
et considerábo vias tuas.
and I will consider your ways.
18. In justificatiónibus tuis meditábor:
18. I will meditate on your justifications.
non oblivíscar sermónes tuos.
I will not forget your words.
19. Glória Patri, et Fílio,
19. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
et Spirítui Sancto.
and to the Holy Spirit,
20. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper,
20. As it was in the beginning, is now,
et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.
and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
21. Retríbue servo tuo, vivífica me:
21. Repay your servant, revive me;
et custódiam sermónes tuos.
and I will keep your words.
22. Revéla óculos meos:
22. Reveal to my eyes,
et considerábo mirabília de lege tua.
and I will consider the wonders of your law.
23. Incola ego sum in terra:
23. I am a sojourner on the earth.
non abscóndas a me mandáta tua.
Do not hide your commandments from me.
24. Concupívit ánima mea desideráre justificatiónes tuas,
24. My soul has longed to desire your justifications
in omni témpore.
at all times.
25. Increpásti supérbos:
25. You have rebuked the arrogant.
maledícti qui declínant a mandátis tuis.
Those who decline from your commandments are accursed.
26. Aufer a me oppróbrium, et contémptum:
26. Take me away from disgrace and contempt,
quia testimónia tua exquisívi.
for I have sought your testimonies.
27. Etenim sedérunt príncipes, et advérsum me loquebántur:
27. For even the leaders sat and spoke against me.
servus autem tuus exercebátur in justificatiónibus tuis.
But your servant has been trained in your justifications.
28. Nam et testimónia tua meditátio mea est:
28. For your testimonies are also my meditation,
et consílium meum justificatiónes tuæ.
and your justifications are my counsel.
29. Glória Patri, et Fílio,
29. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
et Spirítui Sancto.
and the Holy Spirit.
30. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper,
30. As it was in the beginning, is now,
et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.
and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Allelúia, allelúia, allelúia.
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
