Et omnes Angeli stabant in circúitu throni,
And all the angels were standing round about the throne,
et cecidérunt in conspéctu throni in fácies suas,
and fell before the throne on their faces,
et adoravérunt Deum.
and worshiped God.
(Ps. 17) Díligam te, Dómine, fortitúdo mea:

And I will be saved from my enemies.

5. The sorrows of death surrounded me,
et torréntes iniquitátis conturbavérunt me.

8. Et exaudívit de templo sancto suo vocem meam:
8. And he listened to my voice from his holy temple.
et clamor meus in conspéctu ejus, introívit in aures ejus.
And my cry in his presence entered into his ears.
9. Commóta est, et contrémuit terra:
9. The earth was shaken, and it trembled.
fundaménta móntium conturbáta sunt, et commóta sunt,
The foundations of the mountains were disturbed, and they were shaken,
quóniam irátus est eis.
because he was angry with them.
10. Glória Patri, et Fílio,
10. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
et Spirítui Sancto.
and to the Holy Spirit,
11. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper,

13. He bent the heavens, and they descended.

And darkness was under his feet.
14. Et ascéndit super Chérubim, et volávit:
14. And he ascended upon the cherubim, and he flew:
volávit super pennas ventórum.
he flew upon the feathers of the winds.
15. Et pósuit ténebras latíbulum suum,
15. And he set darkness as his hiding place,
in circúitu ejus tabernáculum ejus:
with his tabernacle all around him:

dark waters in the clouds of the air.
16. Præ fulgóre in conspéctu ejus nubes transiérunt,

23. He sent from on high, and he accepted me.
et assúmpsit me de aquis multis.
And he took me up, out of many waters.
24. Erípuit me de inimícis meis fortíssimis,
24. He rescued me from my strongest enemies,
et ab his qui odérunt me:
and from those who hated me.

and I have not behaved impiously before my God.
29. Quóniam ómnia judícia ejus in conspéctu meo:
29. For all his judgments are in my sight,
