(Ps. 109) The Lord said to my Lord,
Sede a dextris meis:
"Sit at my right hand,
2. Donec ponam inimícos tuos,
2. until I make your enemies
scabéllum pedum tuórum.
your footstool."
3. Virgam virtútis tuæ emíttet Dóminus ex Sion:
3. The Lord will send the scepter of your power out of Zion,

4. Tecum princípium in die virtútis tuæ in splendóribus sanctórum:
4. Princely state has been yours from the day of your birth;

5. The Lord has sworn and he will not recant:

6. Dóminus a dextris tuis,
6. The Lord who is at your right hand
confrégit in die iræ suæ reges.
will smite kings in the day of his wrath.
7. Judicábit in natiónibus, implébit ruínas:
7. He will rule over the nations. He will heap high the corpses;
conquassábit cápita in terra multórum.
he will smash heads over the wide earth.
8. De torrénte in via bibet:
8. He will drink from the brook beside the road;
proptérea exaltábit caput.
therefore he will lift high his head.
9. Glória Patri, et Fílio,
9. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
et Spirítui Sancto.
and to the Holy Spirit,
10. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper,
10. As it was in the beginning, is now,
et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.
and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
11. (Ps. 110) Confitébor tibi, Dómine, in toto corde meo:
11. (Ps. 110) I will confess to you, O Lord, with my whole heart,
in consílio justórum, et congregatióne.
in the council of the just and in the congregation.
12. Magna ópera Dómini:
12. Great are the works of the Lord,
exquisíta in omnes voluntátes ejus.
exquisite in all his intentions.
13. Conféssio et magnificéntia opus ejus:
13. Confession and magnificence are his work.
et justítia ejus manet in sǽculum sǽculi.
And his justice remains from age to age.
14. Memóriam fecit mirabílium suórum,
14. He has created a memorial to his wonders;
miséricors et miserátor Dóminus:
he is a merciful and compassionate Lord.
escam dedit timéntibus se.
He has given food to those who fear him.
15. Memor erit in sǽculum testaménti sui:
15. He will be mindful of his covenant in every age.
virtútem óperum suórum annuntiábit pópulo suo:
He will announce the virtue of his works to his people,
16. Ut det illis hereditátem géntium:
16. so that he may give them the inheritance of the nations.
ópera mánuum ejus véritas, et judícium.
The works of his hands are truth and judgment.
17. Fidélia ómnia mandáta ejus:
17. All his commands are faithful:
confirmáta in sǽculum sǽculi,
confirmed from age to age,
facta in veritáte et æquitáte.
created in truth and fairness.
18. Redemptiónem misit pópulo suo:
18. He has sent redemption upon his people.
mandávit in ætérnum testaméntum suum.
He has commanded his covenant for all eternity.
19. Sanctum, et terríbile nomen ejus:
19. Holy and terrible is his name.
inítium sapiéntiæ timor Dómini.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
20. Intelléctus bonus ómnibus faciéntibus eum:
20. A good understanding is for all who do it.
laudátio ejus manet in sǽculum sǽculi.
His praise remains from age to age.
21. Glória Patri, et Fílio,
21. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
et Spirítui Sancto.
and to the Holy Spirit,

23. (Ps. 111) Beátus vir, qui timet Dóminum:
23. (Ps. 111) Blessed is the man who fears the Lord.
in mandátis ejus volet nimis.
He will prefer his commandments exceedingly.
24. Potens in terra erit semen ejus:
24. His offspring will be powerful on the earth.
generátio rectórum benedicétur.
The generation of the upright will be blessed.
25. Glória, et divítiæ in domo ejus:
25. Glory and wealth will be in his house,
et justítia ejus manet in sǽculum sǽculi.
and his justice shall remain from age to age.
26. Exórtum est in ténebris lumen rectis:
26. For the upright, a light has risen up in the darkness.
miséricors, et miserátor, et justus.
He is merciful and compassionate and just.
27. Jucúndus homo qui miserétur et cómmodat,
27. Pleasing is the man who shows mercy and lends.
dispónet sermónes suos in judício:
He will order his words with judgment.
quia in ætérnum non commovébitur.
For he will not be disturbed in eternity.
28. In memória ætérna erit justus:
28. The just one will be an everlasting memorial.
ab auditióne mala non timébit.
He will not fear a report of disasters.
29. Parátum cor ejus speráre in Dómino,
29. His heart is prepared to hope in the Lord.
confirmátum est cor ejus:
His heart has been confirmed.
non commovébitur donec despíciat inimícos suos.
He will not be disturbed, until he looks down upon his enemies.
30. Dispérsit, dedit paupéribus:
30. He has distributed, he has given to the poor.
justítia ejus manet in sǽculum sǽculi,
His justice shall remain from age to age.
cornu ejus exaltábitur in glória.
His horn shall be exalted in glory.
31. Peccátor vidébit, et irascétur,
31. The sinner will see and become angry.
déntibus suis fremet et tabéscet:
He will gnash his teeth and waste away.
desidérium peccatórum períbit.
The desire of sinners will perish.
32. Glória Patri, et Fílio,
32. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
et Spirítui Sancto.
and to the Holy Spirit,
33. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper,
33. As it was in the beginning, is now,

34. (Ps. 112) Praise the Lord, children.
laudáte nomen Dómini.
Praise the name of the Lord.
35. Sit nomen Dómini benedíctum,
35. Blessed is the name of the Lord,
ex hoc nunc, et usque in sǽculum.
from this time forward and even forever.
36. A solis ortu usque ad occásum,
36. From the rising of the sun, even to its setting,
laudábile nomen Dómini.
praiseworthy is the name of the Lord.
37. Excélsus super omnes gentes Dóminus,
37. The Lord is high above all nations,
et super cælos glória ejus.
and his glory is high above the heavens.
38. Quis sicut Dóminus, Deus noster, qui in altis hábitat,
38. Who is like the Lord, our God, who dwells on high,
et humília réspicit in cælo et in terra?
and who gazes upon the humble things in heaven and on earth?
39. Súscitans a terra ínopem,
39. He lifts up the needy from the ground,
et de stércore érigens páuperem:
and he urges the poor away from filth,
40. Ut cóllocet eum cum princípibus,
40. so that he may place him with the leaders,
cum princípibus pópuli sui.
with the leaders of his people.
41. Qui habitáre facit stérilem in domo,
41. He causes a barren woman to live in a house,
matrem filiórum lætántem.
as the joyful mother of sons.
42. Glória Patri, et Fílio,
42. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
et Spirítui Sancto.
and to the Holy Spirit,
43. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper,
