Oratio
Deus, qui nobis diléctum Fílium tuum audíre præcepísti,
God our Father, you bid us listen to your Son, the well-beloved.
verbo tuo intérius nos páscere dignéris,
Nourish our hearts on your word,
ut, spiritáli purificáto intúitu,
purify the eyes of our mind,
glóriæ tuæ lætémur aspéctu.
and fill us with joy at the vision of your glory.
Per Dóminum nostrum Jesum Christum, Fílium tuum,
Through our Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son,
qui tecum vivit et regnat in unitáte Spíritus Sancti, Deus,
Who livest and reignest with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God,
per ómnia sǽcula sæculórum.
for ever and ever.
